Why did you choose to support Hope For The Warriors®?

I chose Hope For the Warriors® because I can directly relate. I am a United States Marine veteran and have some close friends that were wounded in combat.

Tell us a little bit about your Sick of It All event and your upcoming Belgium Beer Night.

After I got out of the Marines in 2000 I went on the road as a touring musician. For 5 years I played in a punk rock band from New Jersey called Bigwig. After leaving the band I got into artist management and worked on the road for Sick of it all. Upon joining the H4W team I figured it was best to use my contacts and make my fund raising fun and something everybody could be a part of. I organized a benefit show in New Brunswick at the Court Tavern. The turnout was great and not only did we raise $2,600, we also spread the word of Hope For The Warriors®.

I also have a Belgian Beer night that will be taking place at the Dubliner rooftop bar in Hoboken on August 3rd. Everything was generously donated by my rugby team the Bayonne Bombers, the Dubliner, and Boulder beer. It is $20 donation and you get ten beers. This is the 9th year I believe and it's always a great turnout and a great time.

Is this your first marathon?

No. My father and I have been running races together for years and stepped it up and ran the Marine Corps Marathon in October. We are by no means fast but really enjoy the dedication that it takes to run a marathon.

What has the highlight been so far of your training and fundraising?

The show on July 9th by far. It is amazing how tight knit the punk/hardcore music family is. Sick of it all is rarely home from touring the world, live all over the tri-state area and have wives and kids. The fact that they took the time to get together and play while not making a dime really shows what kind of people they are. Everybody had so much fun that night and was so into helping Hope For The Warriors®.
