A Warrior's Wish® supports the long-term goal of hope beyond recovery. These wishes fulfill a desire for a better quality of life or support a quest for life-gratifying endeavors. Knowing that wishes can come true directly affects service members' spirits in addition to the families and communities that support them. Whether realizing a dream to sail, ride a bike again, or own a home adapted to specialized needs, Hope For The Warriors® honors the goals and desires of wounded service members and their families.
Consideration of Wish Requests
A Warrior's Wish® grants are made payable to third parties only. They are gifts intended to empower and allow the service member to better his post-recovery life. Wish requests cannot include debt reduction, bill or auto payments, or weapons purchases. Wishes must not compromise moral and ethical standards of behavior as defined by the board of directors.
Minimum Eligibility Requirement
For consideration, A Warrior's Wish® applicants must be U.S. military service members who were combat wounded between 2001 and the present. Service members must be considered severely injured defined by the Department of Defense. These can include loss of limb, sight, or hearing, a traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and severe burns. Hope For The Warriors® will accept applications outlining significant changes to daily activities due to injury.
Every wish will be financially and medically reviewed.
To apply for A Warrior's Wish®, please download the
WISH PACKET and
fill it out in its entirety.
Please note that a "Wish" application will not be reviewed until
all of the required documentation has been received.
